You have been a passenger on the first Hydrofoil vessel to operate in the waters of Port Phillip Bay. In the years that follow, may you remember this historic event What an experience! Silently. smoothly scudding over Port Phillip Bay at speeds up to 40 miles per hour. Starting on its hull, the Hydrofoil travels between 12 and 17 m.p.h., then rising on its hydrofoils it attains speeds of 40 m.p.h.
Seventy feet long and weighing 31 tons, she is a sea going vessel and carries 72 passengers in luxury. Soft, foam rubber aircraft type seats afford an exciting vista of the Bay through large observation windows. Personal air vents for your comfort! No vibration-no noise.
The Hydrofoil is powered by 12-cylinder Mercedes Benz diesel engine. The hull is aluminium alloy and the hydrofoils are welded high tensile steel. The fore foil is Hydraulically adjusted for angle according to speed, sea conditions and the load.
