Multi-Modal Integrated Ticketing - Expressions of Interest

The Public Transport Authority of New South Wales ("PTA") is established for the purpose of advising the NSW Minister for Transport on matters relating to the development, co-ordination and regulation of public passenger services throughout the state.

The PTA invites proposals from experienced parties interested in providing cost effective and innovative solutions for integrating existing ticketing systems for Sydney’s public transport providers, both government and private.

Included in the objectives sought from integrated ticketing are: to facilitate multi-modal travel for passengers; to provide the convenience of single ticket travel to anywhere on the Sydney public transport network and to allow sporting and other events to integrate their sales with transport ticketing.

All Expressions of Interest will be treated in confidence.

To assist prospective respondents, a briefing session will he held in Sydney during the third week of November 1997. Date, time and venue well he notified to all respondents.
