The sale was by public auction and there were no family connections with approvals to sell the surplus property. the property was disposed of because it was surplus to planned operational requirements. proceeds from the sale were used to fund capital works programs and for general working capital requirements. An application for access to documents containing details of the property sale during 1996/97 may be made in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act, 1989.
