SYDNEY METROPOLITAN AREA

INDICATIVE TIME FRAME:

It is anticipated that a mandate will be awarded by the latter part of 1998 to the system provider that best fits the needs of the public transport operators. This time frame should enable a phased and orderly implementation of an Integrated Ticketing system across the Sydney public transport network by the turn of the century. This may be achieved through a new system and/or by modifications to the current systems.
